About Us

​​Welcome! My name is Lauren, and I am the owner of Gold Star Swim School. This will be our fourth summer in business, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue offering swimming lessons for swimmers of all ages in my backyard pool.

 

I am a certified Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor and Lifeguard, trained in Standard First Aid with CPR-C, and an Emergency First Aid Instructor. Teaching water safety and helping swimmers build confidence in and around the water is something I truly care about.

 

I have a strong passion for working with children and over five years of experience teaching swim lessons. I also spent more than five years as a gymnastics instructor and have worked at a variety of summer camps, which has helped shape my engaging and supportive teaching style. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership and plan to continue my education in behavioural therapy.

 

Some of my most cherished childhood memories were made in and around the water, and my goal is to create that same sense of excitement, comfort, and confidence for every swimmer I work with.

 

Meeting the individual needs of each swimmer is extremely important to me. I adapt my teaching strategies to ensure every swimmer feels supported and has the tools they need to succeed. I can’t wait to dive into another amazing summer at Gold Star Swim School!
